Theme of Hassan’s Attendance Problem

Theme of  Hassan’s Attendance Problem

“Negligence of the student” is the theme of Hassan’s Attendance Problem by Mrs Sudha Murthy. Mrs Sudha Murthy is a philanthropist, social worker, and teacher. Her writing reflects her humility. Hassan was a student whose primary problem was a lack of class attendance. In this chapter, Hassan would argue with his teacher to be given attendance and promised to be more punctual the next time they met in the school.

The theme of Hassan’s Attendance Problem is that students must regularly attend classes, finish their courses, and gain knowledge. They can advance their careers by being consistent and hardworking. They will not learn if they are irregular. This was the case with Hassan, a Computer Application student at a college in Bangalore.

He used to be absent from class on the majority of days. He was a slacker who was frequently late for college. He had a problem with his attendance. He used to prepare important questions and sit first in class, but he knew nothing. His hardworking classmates ascended in his life. They became wealthy and well-known. Hasan’s parents despised him. His bosses did not approve of his laziness and irresponsible behaviour. He became a computer software salesman. He ran into his class teacher years after completing his course. He was embarrassed and disappointed. He was aware that he was to blame for his misfortune. He was convinced that he would never be able to break his bad habits. His teacher told him that he had the ability to improve. He could change his ways and advance in life.
