Priyanka Gandhi’s Political career
Priyanka is the heritage of the Nehru- Gandhi family. Since her childhood, she was brought and raised among the leaders. Therefore it was normal for her to take a course in politics. However, she has not shown any enthusiasm for the joining politics until recently despite being a member of the main political group of the nation. But this does not, in any case, remove her from the political scene of the nation either. She has more trust in serving the general population than to beg a seat for herself. Although, her interest was not in politics, later her brother and mother joined her in their campaign and movements in Amethi and Rae Bareli. Priyanka Gandhi has always stood with Congress and contributed full time to its success from time to time.
With her hard work, she repaired the image of Congress in several constituencies of Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka was taken some years ago by the media after the questions when she had cleared that politics is not a strong pull. At a 1999 campaign, she said in an interview to BBC: “I am very clear in my mind. Politics is not a strong pull, the people are. And I can do things for them without being in politics”.Nonetheless, the question of her joining formal politics would be bothersome: “I have said it a thousand times, I am not interested in joining politics…”.
Priyanka is married to Robert Vadra, a businessman from Delhi. This marriage took place on the 10th Janpath Gandhi residence on February 18, 1997. Both have a son named Rahan and a daughter named Mirai. Rehan is often seen in rallies with Priyanka Gandhi. She has a large numbe of admirers in Amethi and Rae Bareli. In 2004, she worked as a manager in the campaigns organized for her mother.
Priyanka is very helpful with nature and she is known for her discretion, the habit of mixing quickly and firm belief. In essence, she is a strong woman, fearless nature, a wonderful woman and a woman full of confidence.
She is often seen in her mother’s and brother’s parliamentary constituencies. Priyanka, the mother of two, has been very good since childhood. She believed that living apart from politics can also be done for the people.
