Essay on My Family
My family is a large and joint family with ten members. This includes my grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, uncle, aunt, two brothers and two sisters. We all live peacefully together and have a perfect and cheerful family.
My grandfather and grandmother are the most respected members of the family, and all members regard them without question. My grandfather used to be a teacher, but he is retired now and still teaches all of us regularly. My grandmother is a religious lady who spends most of her time in worship, but also supports my aunt in her homework and considers her to be like a daughter.
My father is a homoeopathic specialist with his own clinic in the city, while my uncle is an engineer in the electrical department. Together, they provide a good income for the family and ensure that our needs are met. My mother and aunt handle family tasks and chores, while all of us siblings attend different schools but read and play together at home.
Discipline and courtesy are highly valued in our family, and all members respect and love one another. We have certain times for eating, reading, playing, and sleeping, and we work together to face any problems that arise. We live together with our neighbours and always cooperate with them in their times of grief and pain. My dad even treats our neighbours free of charge, while my grandfather teaches the neighbourhood children.
We engage in social work and are respected in the neighbourhood for our solidarity. We treat guests fairly and with respect, giving them comfortable accommodations in our guest room. Our family follows the ancient Indian concept of ‘Atidivi Devo Bhava’, meaning that guests are like gods to us.
In our family, there are no differences or fights among members, and we solve any problems peacefully and with mutual harmony and love. Our family is happy and prosperous because of the discipline, affection, and dignity we follow, as well as our strong unity and feeling of sympathy towards one another. No one can dare to mess with our family because of our strength in unity.
