Arif: Hey, did you know that we can help save the earth by recycling?

Aamir: Really? How?

Arif: Well, instead of just throwing everything away, we can put certain things in a special bin for recycling. Then, they’ll get turned into new things instead of going in a landfill.

Aamir: That’s so cool! But what can we recycle?

Arif: Lots of things! Like plastic bottles, aluminium cans, paper, and cardboard. And some cities even recycle things like glass and electronics, too.

Aamir: Wow, I didn’t know that. But how do we know what can be recycled?

Aamir: Got it! What happens to the things we recycle?

Arif: They get sorted, cleaned, and turned into new things! Like recycled paper can become new paper, or recycled plastic bottles can become a new water bottle.

Aamir: That’s amazing! I’m going to start recycling more often.

Arif: Yay, me too! Every little bit helps, and we can make a difference together!

Asma: Hey, have you thought about recycling more?

Arifa: Recycling? Why should I bother?

Asma: Well, recycling helps protect the environment by reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Plus, it conserves natural resources and saves energy.

Arifa: Hmm, I never really thought about it that way. But, isn’t recycling complicated? I don’t know what I can or can’t recycle.

Asma: It’s not that complicated. Most cities have recycling programs that tell you what you can recycle. Generally, you can recycle plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper, and cardboard.

Arifa: What about things like electronics or old batteries? I don’t want to throw them in the trash, but I’m not sure where to take them.

Asma: There are usually specialized places where you can take those items. You can check online for recycling centers near you, or ask your local government for information on proper disposal.

Arifa: That’s a good point. I’ll definitely look into it. But what about the stuff that can’t be recycled, like food waste or broken glass?

Asma: That’s a good question. Food waste can be composted, which is another way to reduce waste and benefit the environment. And for broken glass, you can wrap it in newspaper or other materials and throw it in the trash.
