My Hobby Essay

It is said that “an empty mind is the workshop of devils.” A hobby is any interesting work that is done in leisure time. Hobbies play a very important role in our lives.

There are many kinds of hobbies. Such as stamp-collecting, coin collection, reading, writing, music, painting, singing, dancing, photography, gardening etc.

My hobby is gardening. Gardening is a healthy hobby. There is a small garden in front of my house. I have planted some beautiful plants. It keeps me physically and mentally fit.

I get up early in the morning and work in my garden for one hour. I keep it neat and clean. There are many types of flower plants such as rose, bela, juhi, chameli etc. I remove weeds and cut the extra branches. I water them daily morning and evening. I also grow some fruits and vegetables. We get fresh fruit and vegetable from my garden.

Gardening is a cheap hobby. I think plants and trees are very useful for our life. They not only provide us food to eat but also serve us in many ways. They make the air fresh. It also releases oxygen for us. My brother and sister work with me. In this way, we learn the lesson of co-operation.

A good hobby is never a waste of time, money and energy. My labour in the garden made me active and refresh my brain. It makes my house beautiful.
