This beautiful story is about a dog who was once his own boss. “Dog Finds His Master” is a story about how dogs naturally become man’s servants, or “domesticated.” It’s pretty amazing that “Dog,” which was once a wild animal, willingly accepted humans as their masters and transitioned into a domesticated pet.
Dogs, much like foxes, used to hunt alone but lived in packs when they were younger. They had freedom up until the point that a dog came along and didn’t approve of how they were living. The dog was tired of being chased by larger animals while it searched for food and was sick of having to wander around aimlessly. Therefore, he came to the conclusion that he should seek employment with the most powerful individual on the planet.
He started looking for a master just like that one. He had a conversation with a wolf and inquired as to whether or not he could look after the dog. The wolf immediately gave his assent, and as they continued to walk along the path in the forest, he dashed off the path and hid himself in the thick underbrush deep within the forest.
The dog couldn’t believe his ears and demanded to know from the wolf why he was so startled. The wolf warned the dog that there was a “bear” in the area that could easily consume both of them. As soon as the dog realised that the bear was more powerful than the wolf, he decided to serve the bear. The dog was asked by the bear to assist the bear in hunting cows so that both the bear and the dog could eat as much as they desired. They were able to get closer to the cows, but as they did, a horrible sound scared them away.
The bear escaped and hid itself in the thickets of the forest. The bear explained to the dog that the roaring sound was produced by a “lion,” who was the alpha species of the forest and the most powerful animal on the planet. The dog eventually started working for the Lion. Because no one would touch him or hurt him, he was happy to work for the Lion. The dog and the lion were out exploring the forest one day.
The Lion abruptly stopped, turned around, and smacked the ground with his paw. After that, he quietly went his separate way. The dog inquired of the lion as to whether or not he was experiencing any distress. The dog was warned by the lion that they needed to get out of there quickly because the lion could smell a “Man” coming their way and that the “Man” was coming after them.
As a result, the dog bade farewell to the lion because he intended to seek employment with the most powerful thing on the planet. In the end, the dog went to the “Man” and stayed with him. While there, he laboured diligently for Man. Since that time, the dog has been the most devoted servant of Man, and he has never worked for anyone other than “Man.”
Summary 2
The story “Dog Finds His Master” is a beautiful story about a dog who chooses to become a servant to a master, rather than being his own boss as dogs once were. This story conveys the importance of loyalty and the significance of choosing our masters prudently.
As the dog ventures out to find his desired master, he encounters a big wolf. The big wolf agrees to become the dog’s master, and they journey unitedly through the forest. Suddenly, the wolf strays from the path and leads the dog deep into the forest. The dog enquires of as to why the wolf has taken this detour, and the wolf explains the dig that there’s a bear that might harm them. It is at this point that the dog decides to serve the bear, who is stronger than the wolf.
The dog and the bear now set out to find a herd of cows but are halted by a loud commotion. The cows are stampeding, and the bear becomes scared when he sees something. Actually, he sees a lion. The dog discovers that the bear is afraid of a lion and therefore chooses to serve the lion instead since he is the mightiest creature in the forest.
The dog asks the lion if he may serve him, and the lion consents. The dog is thrilled to be in the company of the mighty lion, as no one would dare to harm him while he is under the lion’s protection. However, during one of their walks, the lion abruptly stops and silently retreats. The dog asks him why, and the lion honestly confesses that he senses the presence of a man and that they should leave immediately to evade any danger.
The dog realises that man is the most powerful creature on earth and decides to serve him faithfully. This story teaches us that we should remain loyal to those we serve and carefully select our masters, just as the dog did on his journey.
