Teachers Day Speech in English for Children and Students

Teachers Day Speech in english

Our teacher is the light of the world, the beacon in the darkness, and the hope that gives us the strength to survive. Today is Teachersโ€™ Day. A day set aside to honour the gifted souls that work tirelessly every day to ensure that the future is bright for all of us. Let us begin by applauding all of the teachers.

Teacherโ€™s Day is observed on the birthday of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and second President of independent India,ย  born on September 5, 1888 in Tiruttani, Tamil Nadu.Teacherโ€™s Day on his birthday is observed because Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan himself was a teacher and bestowed his blessings on everyone. He says,

โ€œInstead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if 5 September is observed as Teachersโ€™ Day.โ€

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ji stated that the future is in the hands of our children and teachers, and that if India wants to be successful, it can only be done through education, which is why Teachersโ€™ Day is observed on September 5th to highlight the importance of teachers.

On this joyous occasion, let us take this time to express our gratitude to all of our teachers who have helped shape us.

Every year on September 5th, we commemorate Teachers Day. It is a day full with excitement, joy, and happiness as kids eagerly await the opportunity to tell their teachers why and how they are special to them. It is an honour for me to speak about our good teachers on this amazing occasion.

As Dr. Abdul Kalam would have stated, โ€œI believe there is no other profession in the world that is more important to society than that of a teacher.โ€

Every year on September 5th, we mark Teachersโ€™ Day in India. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnanโ€™s birthday is commemorated on September 5th, and Teachersโ€™ Day is observed in his honour. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a wonderful scholar and an exceptional teacher in addition to being a successful leader in the shape of the countryโ€™s President.

There is a saying that teachers are more important than parents. Parents give birth to a child, but teachers shape that youngsterโ€™s personality and provide a bright future.

Aside from academics, teachers are there to lead, motivate, and inspire us to become better people. They are the source of knowledge and wisdom. They inspire ideas and thoughts that we will one day use to give back to society.

Iโ€™d want to thank each and every teacher for their selfless dedication and energetic support. We will be eternally grateful to you.
