Essay on Weasel
A weasel is a small, furry animal with a long body. It has short legs and small, round ears. There are several kinds of weasels. The long-tailed weasel grows up to 18 inches (46 centimeters) long. Weasels live all over the world, except in Africa, Australia, and Antarctica.
Most weasels have brown fur on the back and sides and light fur on the belly. In winter, the fur of weasels that live in cold places changes to white, except for a black-tipped tail. A white weasel hides well in the snow.
Weasels usually hunt for food at night. They eat mice, squirrels, frogs, and other small animals. Like skunks, weasels spray a foul-smelling liquid when they are threatened.
