SCIENTIFIC TEMPER

Scientific temper means the habit of doing things in a rational and systematic manner. This temper is the basis of all material advancement. A nation can advance only if her people have a scientific temper. She will remain backwards if her people are superstitious by nature. We call western countries advanced countries. Their whole approach to life is scientific. They eagerly accept everything new and scientific. But the Indian temper is not scientific. We love clinging to old customs and traditions. We accept a new thing when others have discarded it. We shall have to inculcate scientific temper if we want to keep abreast of the world. Science has helped man to think reasonably and discover the truth. This scientific temper alone can contribute to the economic development of India. We should make use of the scientific temper properly.
