An Excellent Father is basically an extract taken from Jane Austen's famous novel "Pride and Prejudice". In Pride and Prejudice, there are multiple characters but in the extract, only 7 characters are introduced. These seven characters are Mr Bennet, Mrs Bennet, Mr Bingley, Elizabeth, Lizzy , Kitty and Mrs Long.
