How are you impressed with the poem Punishment in Kindergarten?

Punishment in Kindergarten is a beautiful autobiographical poem by Kamla Das. The poem impressed me for the simple reason that it expresses the sense of moving on with life.The subject matter of the poem has two parts, the first of which being the description of the painful experience of the kindergarten days and the second, the adult’s attitude to the incident at present when she is no more a child. Thus the beauty of the poem lies in its nostalgia and the sense of moving on with life.
