Ans. Gangadharโ€™s father gave him a big silver coin. He was surprised because in those days parents didnโ€™t believe in spoiling their children by giving them money.

Ans. Gangadharโ€™s father used to give him an โ€œAnnaโ€ every day for school. His mother wanted to keep it in almirah or buy a gold ring or silver tumbler with it. Gangadhar wanted to buy ladooโ€™s, chocolates and bhelpuri.

Q. 3. What happened when Gangadhar met his friend, Sadu?

Ans. When Gangadhar met his friend Sadu and showed him a silver coin. Sadu thought someone was sick and his mother had given him for medicines. As the coin slipped from Saduโ€™s hands, it rolled towards the drain. If Sadu had not pounced on it, he would surely have lost it.

D) Say whether the words in colour are direct objects or indirect objects:
